Fun Facts about Finding You...

1. When I was dreaming up the perfect guy for Mallory, my husband was watching the Golf Channel and I saw Adam Scott.  It was pretty much a no brainer. You thought professional golfers were stiff and not sexy? Think again.

2. Boone loves 80's rock music. (Journey, Van Halen, etc...) Anything with a good drum beat.

3. She's a little bit country, he's a little bit rock and roll.

4. Cole and Whitney are back!

5. Mallory has spun herself one hell of a web in this one! Lying about her name for starters.

6. Cereal for supper? We've all been there.  Boone takes it to a whole other level.

Favorite Scene...

Hands down, my favorite scene to write was the date scene.  Boone reluctantly agrees to a game of putt-putt with Mallory and the chemistry between them is at an all time high.  I have fond memories of playing mini golf with my husband so it was a must in this book!

My favorite quotes from Finding You...

Won't happen,” she stated matter-of-factly.  “I'm nobody's girlfriend.”

Channeling my inner wild child, Mallory, was so much fun.  She's spunky and independent, which I love in a heroine.

I felt my knees wobble as the corners of her lips turned up into a smile.  I wanted to blame it on the rickety fire escape [I was standing on], but I knew it was a whole lot more about the girl I was looking at then I cared to admit.

I always love writing the moment when a guy realizes that he's falling for a girl—when the physical becomes emotional.

I wasn't sure if I was even capable of being someone's girlfriend.  Sure, I liked not being alone and the sex was a plus, but I knew my heart couldn't stand another blow.  I couldn't risk what would happen if I wasn't capable of being loved.

Mallory always appears to be the tough girl, but there's a reason she is so guarded.

Excerpt:

So you're not busy?”
Do I look busy?” I laughed, holding up my cereal bowl before sitting on the counter next to me.  “Just trying to relax after a long week.”
I waited for him to ask me how my week was, but he didn't. Before I chance to be upset that he didn't bother asking why I was stressed, he was walked up to me quickly, placing his hands on face and pulled my lips to mine.
His movements sharp and decisive as his fingers tangled in my hair that was still damp from the shower. My stomach fluttered in anticipation. I felt the tension finally release from shoulders when I kissed him back.  His tongue swept through my mouth aggressively. It was different than anyway he'd kissed me before, but I can't say that I minded.  I'd always been the one who initiated my sexual encounters.  I knew what I wanted and when I wanted, but in that moment, I let him take the lead.  His hands dropped to my hips and circled around to grab my behind.
Well, now I'm busy,” I mumbled, enjoying the firm grasp of his hands on my ass.  I let my arms fell on to his shoulders and he continued to work his mouth over mine.  He'd come over to my apartment on a mission and I was more than willing to let him see it through.  Especially with the way he was manhandling me—positioning our bodies perfectly to make the most of our kiss.
A groan rumbled from deep inside of him as I let him press his body up against mine.  I smoothed my hands down his chest and fisted his T-shirt, the same way I'd done on the stairwell that day we'd first met, only this time I was holding myself up as he kissed me like it was all he'd ever wanted to do.
You taste like Lucky Charms,” he said, grinning against my lips before nibbling the bottom one between his teeth.  His hands moved to down my to waist to my hips, then back up again with the same greediness as his mouth—kneading and feeling my body as if it belonged to him.  My legs involuntary tried to clench together to relieve the pressure that was building between them, but he stepped into me—his legs between mine—and pressed himself up.  The hard outline of his cock pressed between my legs, sending a thrilling jolt through my body.
You don't like Lucky Charms?” I fought back a moan as his lips moved to my cheek and then down my neck.  I let my head fall back wanting—needing—to have his mouth on my skin.   “I thought everyone did.”
Oh no, I like them all right.” His tongue blazed a trail of heat up to my ear before he whispered. “On you though... They are even more magically delicious.”  He moved my face back to his.  His lips and tongue working mine over.  I felt the pressure building inside of me and knew that there was good chance I might implode if he didn't direct his attention to the other parts my body that were throbbing for his touch.
He lowered us to the floor, not wanting to waste the time or energy to move to the bed.  All of his energy was for me.
I've been waiting all day for this,” he said, pulling my shirt over her head and quickly tugging my bra down.  His head dropped immediately so that his mouth could lavish attention on my bare breasts.  “That's a lie. I've been waiting since the second you left my apartment the other night.”
Me too,” I confessed.  “Other than thinking about you, work has been— Ahhh...” He slipped his hand down the front of my pants, grazing my sensitive flesh. “I need a good distraction for a few minutes,” I finally managed to say.
A few minutes?” he scoffed.  “You're crazy if you think this is only going to last a few minutes.” He slicked his finger through my wet center, purposely putting pressure on the sensitive bundle of nerves he'd missed on my way down.
Whatever had gotten into him was driving me insane.  In the best possible way.  It was far cry from our first night together when he let me call the shots.
I'm taking my sweet ass time,” he said, flashing me a wicked grin.  “The last thing you're going to be thinking about is work.  Hell, I'd be surprised if you can think at all when I'm done with you.”

Author Bio:

Born and raised in the middle of a Midwestern cornfield (not literally, that would be weird), I’ve spent my entire life imagining stories. Stories where the right guy always gets the right girl, first kisses are as magical as they are on the big screen and anything is completely possible if you believe.

Although this journey began years ago, it recently took on a whole new life. After years of devouring hundreds of Romance, YA and New Adult novels, I had an epiphany... I should write a book. And I did it!

If I’m not reading, writing, enjoying drinks with my amazing group of girlfriends or chasing around a sarcastically funny kid, I’m probably watching television shows that were created for teenagers, while my husband teases that I’m too old to watch them.
